Releasing the Origin Story: Victim & Villain

This week’s Full Moon in Taurus is highlighting how our relationships to our origin stories are changing.

The power of a good origin story is that it will either cause us to root for the underdog and believe in their hero’s journey or complexify our view of the villain as we consider their humanity. These stories remind us that all humans are all things all at once. Sometimes soothing, sometimes petty and capable of all shades in-between and beyond these—due to circumstance, suffering, trauma, ignorance, level of enlightenment, & choice.

A good origin story will release a character from the archetype of a villain or of a victim and expand our hearts beyond rigid structures that say someone is all good or all evil.

This is important not just for our relationship to media, but also for our relationships to one another, and of course, for our relationships to ourselves. How we view ourselves, one another, and our larger world is sometimes all we have real influence over.

When we channel our energy into the vision we have of our World, everything the light within us touches produces change.
